A feature of our device is its ability to communicate with both GSM networks as well as satellite networks. This hybrid ability allows a vehicle to be used in remote areas, without GSM coverage, while still communicating through satellite networks, and then when the device detects an available GSM network, it will switch to using GSM (either SMS or GPRS) communications. Thus achieving cost efficiency by only utilizing satellite communications where necessary.
